Renewable Energy and Red Tape

Outside of the road-system, there are a number of small renewable energy projects on the horizon that will bring energy costs down for some of our smallest villages. One of the projects slated to receive federal support this year is being led by the Tanana Chiefs Conference. New federal funding will be directed at Nulato, Huslia, Minto, Kaltag, Grayling, Anvik, Shageluk, and Holy Cross.

Vote “YES” on Ballot Measure 2 to eliminate Ranked Choice Voting in November

Please do not be fooled by the hype. Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) is bad for voters and it’s bad for candidates. RCV benefits the minority party represented in each race as they have the easiest path to election. RCV puts undue burden on candidates and it is a waste of donor money. There is more to this story!

McCarthy Road Input Needed

To address access and public safety along the McCarthy Road, the Federal Highway Administration, the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) and the National Park Service (NPS) need your input this July 30th and July 31st. Together, they are drafting the McCarthy Road Planning And Environmental Linkages (PEL) Study.
